Novartis Names Jonas Prasanna to Lead People Services & Solutions in India

Novartis has appointed Jonas Prasanna as the Head of People Services & Solutions, India. In this role, he will oversee HR operations and service delivery across the country, with a strong focus on elevating employee experience and ensuring operational excellence.

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Jonas wrote: “Some opportunities don’t just move your career forward—they speak to you & require you to take a leap of faith. I’m incredibly grateful to begin a new chapter with Novartis as Head – People Services & Solutions, India. Joining a company that’s transforming health and reimagining medicine has renewed my belief that my work can be a force for good & serve the community.”

Jonas brings over 16 years of global experience, having led diverse teams across the U.S., Asia, and Australia. He has a strong track record in driving change and cultural transformation aligned with business outcomes. His background spans a range of HR roles, including Business Partnering and Centers of Excellence across Learning & Leadership Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Employer Branding, across industries such as Aerospace, Consumer Electronics, Healthcare, Video-on-Demand, and IT. Recognized as a Top 20 HR Influencer on Social Media by SHRM and ETHR, Jonas is passionate about coaching and collaborating with leaders to foster cohesive, inclusive, and high-performing teams.

Prior to this appointment, Jonas served as the APAC HR Business Partner Leader at Boeing (since April 2022), where he led HR for the Government Defense Services division across the APAC region, supporting teams in the U.S., India, Singapore, Japan, and Korea, as well as the Supply Chain function in Australia. Jonas has ALSO previously held pivotal HR roles at Disney+ Hotstar, Capgemini, and Philips. He is an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode, where he completed an Executive Programme in Human Resource Management with a focus on Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Total Rewards.
