Mattel Appoints Bhavani Pandi as Head of People, India

Bhavani Pandi has been appointed as head of people and culture, India at Mattel, the global play and family entertainment company. In her new role, she will lead people and culture initiatives across Mattel India, focusing on organisational development, talent strategy, leadership hiring, employee engagement, and HR transformation.

Pandi moves to Mattel from TriNet, where she was Country People Partner from February 2020 to April 2026. During her six-year stint at TriNet, she set up the HR function from the ground up for a SaaS-based HCM product organisation in India and led organisational culture development across the business. Before TriNet, she spent close to two years as human resources director at her own venture, Ggaith Services. From 2017 to 2018, she served as country human resources leader at Genesys.

Prior to that, Pandi was Senior HR Partner – TAG at Cognizant Technology Solutions from 2014 to 2017. She had earlier served as senior manager-client engagement at Bank of America Continuum India Services from 2012 to 2014, and as a consultant at Ma Foi Randstad in Chennai. She began her career as a technical recruiter at Collins Consulting in Chicago in 2005, followed by a stint as a software engineer at Infosys Technologies.
