Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India has appointed Surender Pal Singh Unzan as Head of Learning and Organisational Development (OD).
In his new role, Unzan will focus on driving the development of individual and organisational capabilities. He plans on unlocking untapped human potential and aligning all strategic initiatives across sales, resorts, and corporate functions within his new company.
Prior to Mahindra, Unzan was a part of Jio, having worked as Talent, Learning and Organisational Effectiveness Specialist from October 2018 to April 2025. In this position, he supported employee development, engagement, and growth while fostering a positive and productive organisational culture for Jio’s Fiber to the Home (FTTH) area.
From January 2018 to October 2018, Unzan was the Chief Mentor and HR Consultant for Goalcast. He was also a part of Landmark Group as Head of Talent Learning and OD from May 2014 to December 2017. Unzan was also associated with BESTSELLER from June 2013 to April 2014 as General Manager – OD and Talent Development.
In the past, Unzan has worked with The Times of India as Chief Manager Learning and OD- Media and Retail, a role he retained from July 2008 to May 2013. He has also served as Senior Manager HR & Corporate Training- [Sales & Retail Operation] at Future Group India and as Human Resources Training Manager – Retail Banking for Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance.
