Liberty General Insurance has appointed Puja Agarwal (Biyani) as President – Human Resources. She steps into a role that places her on both the India Leadership Team and the Liberty APAC HR Leadership Team, taking charge of the insurer’s people agenda at a time when the company is scaling its talent capabilities.
Liberty General Insurance welcomed her appointment in a LinkedIn post that framed her mandate clearly: “As part of both the India leadership team and the Liberty APAC HR leadership team, Puja will lead our people agenda, strengthen our talent capabilities, and further the One Liberty culture as we continue our growth journey.”
Agarwal brings more than 22 years of HR leadership experience across banking, asset management, home finance and financial services. Most recently, she served as Head – Campus & Central Recruitment at ICICI Bank for close to two years, leading recruitment across campus hiring and central functions.
Before that, Agarwal spent over 15 years at ICICI Prudential AMC, starting as a Management Trainee and rising to Head – Corporate Human Resources. That stretch gave her range across talent acquisition, performance management, learning and organisational development, employee engagement, HR operations, compensation and business partnering.
Her academic credentials back up the breadth. Agarwal holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from the International School of Business & Media and has completed executive education in HR management from the Indian School of Business. She’s also an ICF-certified coach and facilitator, a detail multiple outlets flagged as central to how she approaches leadership development.
