Lakmé Lever has appointed Shweta Mhatre as Head – Human Resources & Training.
“I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Lakmé Lever Pvt. Ltd. as the Head of HR & Training! From eagerly looking forward to my salon visits to now being a part of the salon industry, this truly feels like a full-circle moment,” Mhatre shared on LinkedIn.
Mhatre emphasises that it’s her passion for the beauty industry and its impact on people’s lives that continues to drive her. As such, she is looking forward to this new opportunity to build talent, strengthen culture and scale capability within it.
“I look forward to partnering with Vipul Chaturvedi, Kunal Sharma, the Lakmé Lever leadership team, and my HR & Training team as we continue to elevate the beauty experience across the country,” added Mhatre. “Excited for what we will build together.”
Prior to joining Lakmé Lever, Mhatre had been associated with L’Oréal for over 8 years. She first joined the company in July 2017 as a Management Trainee and then became Human Resources Business Partner – Sales & Education – East India in July 2018. This was followed by her switch to Human Resources Business Partner – Sales & Education – South India in November 2019.
In October 2021, Mhatre became Lead – Campus Relations and Integration for L’Oréal. She was then given the role of Human Resources Business Partner – Operations, SAPMENA Zone in March 2024.
In her farewell post from L’Oréal, Mhatre shared how, “Somewhere in between the different roles and experiences, I also fell in love with the beauty industry and with L’Oréal’s purpose to Create the Beauty that Moves the World.”
Mhatre has an MBA in Human Resources Development from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development.
