Debabrat Mishra has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer at JSW Infrastructure Limited! In this new role, he will lead the HR function of India’s second-largest private port operator and infrastructure company. JSW Infrastructure Limited offers a wide range of maritime services, including cargo handling, storage solutions, and logistics operations.
Previously, he served as the Head of Human Resources at JSW Steel Vijayanagar, India’s largest integrated steel plant. In that role, he oversaw the HR function for the 18 MTPA integrated steel operations at Vijayanagar, including the mines located across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, managing a workforce of over 30,000 employees (direct and indirect).
Debabrat brings nearly two decades of diverse experience across leading organizations such as Vedanta Group, Bharti Airtel Limited (Airtel Enterprise Services), and Exide Industries Limited.
He possesses extensive hands-on expertise in management and business leadership, with a proven track record of building, managing, and leading high-performing teams across the Metals, Mining, Power, and Telecom sectors. His experience spans end-to-end HR and Employee Relations functions in multi-dimensional, cross-cultural environments across geographies — covering greenfield projects, mature setups, and established organizations.
An alumnus of Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development and currently pursuing the Advanced Strategic Leadership Program at Boston University, Debabrat combines strategic acumen with a strong people-focused leadership approach.
