JioStar has elevated Purnima Kumar to the role of Executive Vice President – Human Resources (Digital, Sports) and Total Rewards. In the new role, she In her expanded mandate, Kumar will drive workforce strategy, leadership capability and organisational effectiveness across JioStar’s digital and sports businesses, while continuing to oversee compensation and benefits.
Her key focus areas will include building future-ready talent capabilities, supporting scale and innovation across India’s largest streaming and sports portfolio, and advancing progressive total rewards practices aligned with long-term business growth.
Prior to this promotion, she served as Head – Total Rewards, People Programs and Talent Acquisition, and also co-led critical joint-venture integration efforts. During this phase, she played a pivotal role in aligning talent, rewards and people programmes across organisations, transforming.
With deep expertise spanning talent strategy, rewards, large-scale integration and global HR operations, Kumar’s appointment reflects JioStar’s focus on strengthening leadership depth and people capability as it continues to scale its digital and sports ambitions.
