Jio-bp has named Sareeta Bhatikar as its Chief Human Resources Officer. In her new role, Bhatikar will lead the company’s HR strategy, with responsibility for strengthening organisational capability, advancing talent frameworks and aligning people priorities with Jio-bp’s long-term business ambitions.
She joins the company from HDFC Life, where she served as Head of Human Resources. During her tenure, she oversaw HR strategy for a workforce of over 40,000 employees and played a central role in guiding the organisation’s people integration efforts following its merger with Exide Life.
Sharing news of her transition, Bhatikar described her time at HDFC Life as deeply enriching and expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Jio-bp’s vision of reshaping India’s mobility landscape. She highlighted the company’s focus on future-ready fuels, electric mobility, customer-centric innovation and sustainable growth as key factors that drew her to the role.
Bhatikar brings more than 20 years of experience across sectors, having previously held senior HR positions at Cipla, Vodafone, A.P. Moller–Maersk, Unilever and LTI (Larsen & Toubro Infotech). Her background spans talent management, large-scale HR transformation, employee relations and change leadership.
Academically, she holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Welingkar Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics. She is also a qualified cost accountant, has completed an LLB from VPM Thane College, and holds a postgraduate diploma in comparative methodology from the University of Mumbai.
