Indian IT giant Infosys is set to expand its footprint in Punjab with a new Mohali campus, backed by an estimated ₹300-crore investment.
Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora announced that the campus will span 30 acres. The first phase will feature 3 lakh sq. ft. of built-up space, expected to create 2,500 jobs. A second phase will add another 4.8 lakh sq. ft. of development. Arora credited the state’s streamlined approvals and investor-friendly policies for drawing major investments like this to Punjab. “We are giving approvals to industrial projects in 45 days. We are happy to state that investors are keen to invest in Punjab,” he added.
Sameer Goel, who leads the company’s Mohali centre, noted that the state government has extended strong support for the project. “We have been in this region for quite some time. We are happy that we are expanding our presence in the region,” Goel said.
The minister highlighted that the state’s proactive initiatives have boosted Punjab’s investment appeal. “We are giving approvals to industrial projects in 45 days. We are happy to state that investors are keen to invest in Punjab,” Arora said.
