Hyperion Materials & Technologies has appointed Anupama Basak as Head of Human Resources (HR) – Asia-Pacific (APAC).

With over two decades of experience, Basak is known for her ability to lead change, develop collaborative partnerships with all levels of employees and deliver results in an organisation confronting significant change. She has a keen mind for strategic business partnerships and is well-versed in strategic HR business partnerships, talent acquisition, leadership development, talent development & performance management, compensation & benefits, learning & development, and change management.
Prior to joining Hyperion Materials & Technologies, Basak was a part of Veolia from August 2024 to November 2025 as Head of Human Resources – South Asia. She was also associated with Freshworks from September 2021 to August 2024 as Human Resources Director.
From October 2015 to December 2020, Basak worked for Pall Corporation as Director HR – India. She was also a part of GE for 5 years, having joined the company in November 2010 as HR Leader – Commercial Organisation. In March 2013, GE appointed Basak as HR Leader – Technology & Engineering Organisation.
In May 2007, Basak joined Tata Motors as Manager HR and retained the role until November 2007. She then became Regional HR Manager – South India in August 2009 and held that role until November 2010. Basak was also a part of EID Parry India from June 2005 to May 2007 as Deputy Manager – HR.
