Hyatt has promoted S Vidyashankar to VP – HR, India & Southwest Asia.
With over 23 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Vidyashankar is an expert in building people-centric teams that nurture leadership and the core tenets of hospitality. For over two decades, Vidyashankar has remained affiliated with Hyatt in a variety of capacities.
Before his recent promotion, Vidyashankar was the Area Director of Human Resources at Hyatt Hotels (Grand Hyatt Goa), a role he took up in February 2019. He was a part of Grand Hyatt Mumbai from July 2016 to February 2019 as Director of Human Resources.
Vidyashankar was associated with Grand Hyatt Goa from November 2012 to July 2016 as Director of Human Resources. He also served as Human Resources Manager at Grand Hyatt Mumbai from July 2011 to November 2012. In February 2010, Vidyashankar became a Personnel Manager at Hyatt Regency Pune.
From December 2008 to February 2010, Vidyashankar was a part of Accor Hospitality as a Human Resources Manager. Before that, he was working for Hyatt Regency Mumbai as an Assistant Personnel Manager, a role he took up in August 2002.
