Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, has launched new welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening employee security and fostering unity. The company has introduced a Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance policy and a common uniform for all employees across its units and offices.
The policy offers accident coverage of ₹20 lakh for every contractual worker while on duty. In addition, HCL, through partnerships with State Bank of India, IOB, and other banks under their respective Corporate Salary Package schemes extends accident insurance coverage of up to ₹40 lakh for contractual staff across its units and offices. HCL has also collaborated with the SBI to launch a Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme for all regular employees. This landmark initiative provides comprehensive accident coverage—both on and off duty—of ₹1 crore for every regular employee. This coverage applies both on and off duty, reflecting HCL’s commitment to the social security of its workforce.
In a step to promote equality and strengthen its corporate identity, HCL has introduced a common uniform for all employees across its units and offices. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to unity and inclusiveness while presenting a professional image to stakeholders.
