HDFC Bank Appoints Vibhash Naik as CHRO Effective February 2026

HDFC Bank has appointed Vibhash Naik as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective February 1, 2026.

With over 25 years of experience, Naik is known for driving business growth through people excellence. He is also well-versed in leading large, multidisciplinary functions across diverse industries, including the BFSI and the IT sector.

For over 14 years, Naik has been with HDFC Life. He joined the company in July 2011 as Vice President – Human Resources. This was followed by his appointment as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, in April 2014. In April 2018, Naik became Executive Vice President – Human Resources and Head, Learning & Development for the company.

As of April 2019, Naik has been the CHRO of HDFC Life. In this role, he has been focused on fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and high performance. Also serving as the Chief Learning Officer, he designs and delivers innovative learning experiences that accelerate organisational capability, talent growth, and distributor excellence.

From November 2008 to July 2011, Naik served as SVP & Head of Human Resources at Religare Macquarie Private Wealth. He also worked at Lehman Brothers from August 2005 to December 2008 as an Assistant Vice President – Human Resources. Naik was part of the Human Resources team at HDFC Standard Life Insurance from 2001 to 2004, and at Atos Origin from 1999 to 2001.
