HCLTech CEO C Vijayakumar’s Pay Increased by 7.9% to ₹95 Crore in FY25

HCLTech Chief Executive Officer (CEO) C Vijayakumar received a remuneration of ₹94.6 crore in fiscal year 2024-2025 (FY25).

Based in the United States of America (USA), Vijayakumar’s compensation increased by 7.9% in FY25 compared to the fiscal year 2023-2024 (FY24).

Vijayakumar’s nearly ₹95 crore salary was composed of a base salary of ₹15.8 crore, a performance-linked bonus of ₹13.9 crore, restricted stock units (RSUs) worth ₹56.9 crore, and an additional bonus of ₹1.7 crore.

In its annual report for FY25, HCLTech stated that the company’s board has approved a hike to $18.6 million, or ₹154 crore, to Vijayakumar’s salary for the ongoing financial year (fiscal year 2025-2026).

Vijayakumar’s new term as the company’s CEO and Managing Director will begin on September 1, 20252 and will end on March 31, 2030.

The average salary hike in HCLTech for its employees, excluding top-level managers, was 3.1%. Compared to the median pay of the company’s employees, Vijayakumar made about 662.5 times more during the same period.

At nearly ₹95 crore, Vijayakumar has emerged as the highest-paid Indian IT CEO. His contemporaries, like Tata Consultancy Services (CEO) K Krithivasan and Infosys CEO Salil Parekh, received ₹26.52 crore and ₹80.62 crore respectively.
