GSK India Promotes Harsh V. Trehan to CHRO and Executive Vice President

Harsh V. Trehan has been elevated to the role of CHRO and Executive Vice President – Human Resources, India at GSK, the British multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. In this new position, he will spearhead the people and culture strategy for GSK India’s pharmaceutical business as a member of the India Leadership Team.

Harsh brings over 25 years of diverse people leadership experience across sectors including Corporate Services, Aerospace & Defence, FMCG, and Oil & Gas. He has a proven track record of driving impactful and inclusive people initiatives throughout his career. Prior to this role, he served as the People Services Lead at GSK’s Global Capability Centre, where he played a key role in establishing a world-class People Services Centre in Bengaluru to support GSK’s global businesses and functions in delivering better outcomes for patients and consumers.

Harsh has previously served in significant HR leadership positions at Compass Group India, BAE Systems, and GSK Consumer Healthcare India, where he was instrumental in driving change across HR transformation, talent management, and organizational development. Academically, he holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management with a specialization in Human Resources from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune.

Harsh announced his new role on LinkedIn, saying, “I am thrilled to share that I am taking on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) & Executive Vice President at GSK India, Mumbai.
