Goldman Sachs has elevated Neelam Thakur to the role of Vice President, Benefits and Wellness. In her new and expanded role, she will lead the employee wellness strategy across its India operations.
Thakur will design and deliver the organisation’s wellness and benefits agenda in India, focusing on holistic health support, fitness and childcare initiatives, and an evolving mental health framework.
Her work will centre on integrating local wellbeing programmes with Goldman Sachs’ global priorities, using data insights to enhance resilience, psychological safety and overall employee experience.
Thakur previously served as Associate, India Wellness & Benefits Lead at Goldman Sachs. She also partnered with the firm earlier in her career as a Wellness Consultant through Manipal Health Enterprises, supporting the development of employee health initiatives.
Her professional background spans leadership roles across leading healthcare and wellness organisations, including Narayana Health, Fortis Healthcare, Asian Health Alliance and Arihant Hospital & Research Centre. Across these roles, she has developed deep expertise in healthcare operations, large-scale wellness programme implementation, stakeholder engagement and people-centric service delivery.
