Flipkart has appointed Yogita Shanbhag as Vice President – Human Resources.
Shanbhag’s appointment was announced by Flipkart alongside Vipin Kapooria taking up the role of Vice President – Business Finance.
In her new role, Shanbhag will lead the HR function for the OneTech Business Unit, critical to Flipkart’s technology foundation and innovation focus. She will also focus on building organisational resilience and fostering cultural alignment to support the brand’s evolving technology foundation, Flipkart shared in its statement.
Seema Nair, Chief Human Resources Officer, Flipkart, added her own thoughts, stating that “Vipin and Yogita bring the depth of experience that further bolsters our financial and people foundation, ensuring we have the organisational capability to deliver on our long-term growth strategy.”
Shanbhag also expressed her excitement about the appointment, sharing, “I am pleased to join Flipkart with a focus on strengthening these foundations, and look forward to working with teams to drive people practices that support execution, collaboration and compliance for sustained success.”
Before joining Flipkart, Shanbhag was associated with Juniper Networks for over 9 years. She started working for the company in May 2016 as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. This was followed by her becoming HR Senior Business Partner in July 2019. In August 2021, Shanbhag was named HR Head – Juniper Networks India.
For over a decade, Shanbhag was a part of Wipro Technologies, working as an HR Business Partner from December 2005 to April 2016. She has also worked for TNT India in the past.
