Melvin Mathias has taken on the role of Chief Human Resource Officer at Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd. In this position, he will drive the company’s people and culture transformation, ensuring that talent strategies support business growth and innovation as Epsilon Carbon continues to expand its global presence in the coal tar and carbon black industry. Previously, Melvin served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources at Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, where he led Corporate HR and Global Centres of Excellence for Performance and Rewards.
Overall, Melvin brings over two decades of experience. Before joining Yokohama, he was with Welspun Corp Limited, where he played a key role in global HR design and transformation. At Transocean, he managed HR operations across eight countries in Africa and the Mediterranean, supporting a diverse workforce of more than 70 nationalities. Early in his career, as Deputy Manager – Change Management at Mahindra Group, he designed culture change initiatives, including the acclaimed ‘Ingenious’ program, which later became the cornerstone of Mahindra Rise.
