Dr. Reddy’s Appoints Sanjay Sharma as Chief Human Resources Officer

Pharma major Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has announced that Sanjay Sharma, currently Global Head of Operations and Senior Management Personnel, will take on additional responsibilities as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective December 1, 2025. He will succeed Archana Bhaskar in this role.

Sanjay brings a wealth of experience across the FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors and is expected to leverage this expertise in his expanded role, strengthening the company’s strategic direction and enhancing operational efficiency. He brings over 28 years of experience in the FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors, having held diverse roles across supply chain and sales in both emerging and developed markets within cross-cultural environments.

Before joining Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Sanjay built an extensive career of over two decades with leading organizations such as Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, The Coca-Cola Company, and United Breweries Ltd. A part of Dr. Reddy’s for over eight years, his elevation to the CHRO role underscores the company’s focus on aligning human capital strategy with its broader business and innovation objectives.

 The leadership announcement coincided with Dr. Reddy’s Q2 results, which reflected steady performance — with net profit rising 7% to ₹1,347 crore and revenue increasing 10% to ₹8,828 crore.

“Growth in Q2 was driven by momentum in branded markets and steady contributions from the Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) portfolio, which helped offset the decline in US Lenalidomide sales. We remain focused on strengthening our core business, advancing key pipeline assets, driving productivity and pursuing business development initiatives,” said GV Prasad, Co-Chairman and MD of Dr Reddy’s.
