Deepak Group appoints Subimal Mondal as President and Group CHRO

Deepak Group has appointed Subimal Mondal as President and Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Through a LinkedIn post, Deepak Group also welcomed Mondal warmly to the company. “Mr. Mondal will lead Deepak Group’s Human Resources division in his new role, leveraging over 39 years of diverse experience and expertise in Human Resources. His recent assignment with IOC was in the role of Executive Director (HR), based at Corporate Office, New Delhi. He enjoys music, traveling and pursuing research work,” the company stated.

“Based in Vadodara, Mr. Mondal will closely work with department heads and team leaders to drive Deepak Group’s performance-driven human practices, to foster creative and innovative working environment that offers equal opportunity to learn, lead and advance as a professional and as a leader,” Deepak Group added.

Mondal is a seasoned HR professional within the chemical industry. He was a part of Indian Oil Corporation for well over 38 years, having helped in the company in various capacities. Mondal joined Indian Oil in February 1986 as a Project Engineer. Initially working in managerial roles, he switched to HR through his training skills. Following his appointment as Head of HRD and Training in April 2004, he accumulated critical HR skills over the years that helped him climb the company ladder.

In December 2024, Mondal left Indian Oil, having become the Executive Director I/C (Human Resources), Corporate HR. From April 2025 to May 2025, he also served as Professor of Practice at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.
