Crocs India appointed Mukta Nakra as Head of Human Resources (HR).
“Crocs, Inc. — a brand that’s bold, vibrant, quirky and unapologetically itself. Where energy moves fast. Culture wears clogs. And everyone is invited to come as you are!” Nakra shared on LinkedIn. “It’s a whole new playground. And I’m here for the adventure. Laura Montagu, Eleanor Thorp, Manoj Juneja, looking forward to building something ‘unfurgettable’ together.”
Prior to joining Crocs India, Nakra was a part of Marks and Spencer (M&S) Reliance India for over seven years. She joined the company in August 2018 as Head – Human Resources & Sustainability and retained the role until October 2025.
“Some journeys stay with you,” Nakra commented on her transition. “At M&S, I found more than just a workplace — I found vision, rhythm, and a culture that let me build with clarity and scale with conviction.”
“From boardrooms to backrooms, from strategy slides to coffee chats in the corridor — every moment shaped me. The brand will always carry nostalgia, but what I carry with me most deeply is the people,” added Nakra. “To my team, through the years, thank you. You’ve been my greatest teachers, fiercest cheerleaders, and the quiet force behind every milestone. Your belief made me braver. Your banter made it lighter. Your brilliance made it worth it.”
In January 2018, Nakra joined Wiley as Talent Director APAC and HRBP Lead India and held the role until July 2018. She was also associated with American Express from July 2014 to December 2017 as Director – Market HR. Nakra served as Head – Corporate HR for Walmart from September 2008 to July 2014.
For over 3 years, Nakra was a part of ABN AMRO Bank NV. She started as Senior Manager – Human Capital in April 2005. This was followed by her becoming an HR Business Partner in January 2008. Her past workplaces include Tecnovate eSolutions and HP.
