Cargill has appointed Swaminathan Chandrashekhar as Director, HR Business Partner and Head of HR, India Capability Center.

The chance to partner with leaders at scale and support complex, evolving businesses aligns closely with how I approach people and leadership work.”

Prior to Cargill, Chandrashekhar was associated with Eli Lilly and Company for over 5 and a half years. He joined in June 2020 as Senior Human Resources Manager. In November 2022, Chandrashekhar was promoted to Associate Director Human Resources, followed by his becoming Director HR in January 2024.
“As 2025 comes to a close, I’m also closing an important chapter — after 5.5 meaningful years at Eli Lilly and Company,” Chandrashekhar stated in his farewell post to Eli Lilly and Company. “I leave with deep gratitude for the trust, the challenges, and the many opportunities to make a real difference to our people.
“To my stakeholders,” he added, “thank you for the partnership and honest conversations. And to my team, thank you for your trust, your perseverance, and the way you showed up for one another and for our people, day after day. This journey stretched my thinking, sharpened my leadership, and gave me learnings I will always value.”
Chandrashekhar has also been affiliated with Infosys for over 8 years, though not consecutively. He first started working for the company in May 2010 as Associate Lead – Business Partner, Human Resources, and then became Senior Associate Lead – Business Partner, Human Resources in October 2011. In April 2014, Chandrashekhar was given the role of Lead – Business Partner Human Resources, and he held it until June 2014.
From June 2014 to March 2016, Chandrashekhar worked for Citi as a Manager of Human Resources. However, he returned to Infosys in March 2016 as Senior Lead – Employee Relations. He went on to serve as Manager – Employee Relations from July 2018 to May 2020.
