Brigade Group appoints Sajid Iqbal as CHRO and Senior Vice President ­- HR and Admin

Brigade Group has appointed Sajid Iqbal as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Vice President ­- Human Resources (HR) and Admin, effective July 3, 2025.

In his new role, Iqbal will lead the talent strategy and the HR function of Brigade Group across multiple verticals, including residential, commercial, and retail. He will be the driving force behind the HR agenda, partnering with senior leadership on critical functional areas. Iqbal’s focus on talent development, employment branding, and career development will attract top talent, helping the business achieve its growth plans.

Prior to Brigade Group, Iqbal had been a part of General Electronics (GE) for more than 22 years, serving in a variety of capacities within the company over the years. This helped him accumulate a vast amount of varied experience that has helped him achieve much success and respect within the HR domain.

Iqbal started working for GE in February 2003 as a Human Resources Manager. He was promoted to the position of Global Human Resources Business Partner in August 2006. In December 2010, Iqbal became an HR Business Partner for GE.

From October 2012 to February 2015, Iqbal worked with GE HealthCare as HR Head to boost the HR functions of GE Healthcare’s India Technology Centre. In this role, he oversaw HR operations for over 2000 employees.

In March 2015, Iqbal started working for GE as HR Head India – GE Oil and Gas, GE Transportation and GE Aviation Businesses, a role he retained until November 2017. From December 2016 to June 2025, he worked as Vice President of Human Resources for GE.

Iqbal has also worked for Godrej Pacific (now Ingram Micro) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in the past.
