A Biocon employee was reportedly found dead at the company’s Bengaluru Electronic City Phase II office premises. He was 26.
The deceased has been identified as Anantha Kumar, who worked for the finance department of the company.
According to the police, the employee is believed to have either fallen or jumped from the fourth floor of the building. However, no suicide note has been recovered, and the officials haven’t yet confirmed the actual cause of death.
The case has been registered at the Parappana Agrahara Police Station, and body of the deceased has been shifted to a nearby hospital for examination.
As per an NDTV report, Kumar was an employee of the Banashankari area.
In a statement, Biocon said, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our employees in Bengaluru. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the family during this extremely difficult time. As the matter is currently under investigation by the authorities, we are unable to share further details at this stage.”
