Bharti AXA Life Insurance has promoted Vishal Sinha to head of corporate HR, learning and development (L&D) and organisational development (OD).
The elevation consolidates three closely linked people functions under a single leader who has spent years building the insurer’s training and corporate HR machinery from the inside.
Sinha is a long-serving Bharti AXA Life hand. He most recently held the role of head of training partnership distribution and corporate HR, and before that led training across partnerships, group business and L&D for the company. His expanded mandate now brings organisational development formally under his remit, alongside the corporate HR and learning portfolios he already ran. In practice, that means owning capability building, culture and structural design at a company navigating a fast-digitising insurance market.

His experience runs deeper than a single employer. Before his current innings at Bharti AXA Life, Sinha was business head for B2B corporate training at Max Skill First, where he built enterprise learning programmes for clients across BFSI, pharma and e-commerce. Sinha’s earlier career includes stints at Aditya Birla Health Insurance and Birla Sun Life Insurance, giving him a grounding in the insurance sector that spans both life and health lines.
