Ascend Telecom Infrastructure has appointed Bina Belani as Chief People Officer.
With over two decades of experience, Belani has worked across a variety of industries, including mining, manufacturing, and technology, spanning platforms, products, and services. She has a deep passion for continuous learning, innovation, and diverse interests and is known for her transformative HR and talent strategies.
Over the years, Belani has received multiple awards, including the Women in HR Excellence Award, 2025, AI POWER30 List, 2025, 50 Most Influential HR Leaders, 2025, and Leadership and Learning Impact Award, 2025. She was also given two awards by the Women Super Achiever in HR, 2025, and was listed in 100 Most Admired Women, 2025, and Top HR Icon, World HRD Congress, 2025. Belani also served as a jury member for the Economic Times HR Employee Experience Awards, 2025.
Prior to joining Ascend Telecom Infrastructure, Belani had been working for Jio Platforms for over 3 years. From December 2021 to August 2025, she served as Head of Human Resources, Retail Technology at the company.
From May 2019 to December 2021, Belani was a part of SLK as Head of HR Business Partners (HRBP). Before that, she was working for Wipro from April 2016 to September 2018 in the role of Head of HRBP, Product Engineering Services Cluster.
Belani had been a part of Vedanta Resources for over nine years. She joined the company in August 2006 as a Management Trainee HR (Sesa Goa Limited), a role she held until July 2007. From August 2007 to May 2010, Belani was Junior Manager of HRD (Sesa Goa Limited). In June 2010, she became Associate Manager – Human Resources until September 2013.
In October 2013, Belani became Manager – HR (Vedanta Limited, Goa) at Vedanta Resources. She oversaw several corporate HR operations in this position until March 2016. From July 2015 to March 2016, Belani served as Head HR, Value Addition Business.
