Apex Group has promoted Prabhu Sundaresan to Director – Human Resources, elevating its India HR head into a role with a wider mandate across the global financial services firm’s people agenda. The company tied the promotion to his work in people transformation, organisational effectiveness, and HR leadership.

Thrilled to share that I’ve been promoted to Director – Human Resources,” Sundaresan shared on LinkedIn.

Before this elevation, Sundaresan was Regional Head of HR India – Senior Vice President at Apex Group, where he partnered with India and global leadership teams to align people strategy with business priorities across nine locations. His brief covered a lot of ground: organisational design, M&A HR integration, talent and performance management, payroll governance, and policy harmonisation. He also played a central part in the group’s digital transformation, helping roll out Workday and supporting HR modernisation across the enterprise.

Sundaresan brings over 23 years of experience, including more than a decade in executive HR leadership. Before joining Apex Group in 2022, he spent more than a dozen years at BNP Paribas Lease Group, where he rose from HR Head to Head of Learning and Development for EMEA and then Senior Vice President-HR. Earlier in his career, he worked in HR at Citigroup. He holds a B.Com from Loyola College and an MBA from SRM.

His track record spans talent strategy, organisational transformation, HR technology, succession planning, governance, and workforce optimisation, much of it within the BFSI sector and across global teams in India, APAC, and EMEA.
