Anurag Patnaik, Head of Human Resources for Nestlé’s South Asia region, has announced his decision to step down from the role. As a member of Nestlé India’s leadership council, Patnaik has played a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy and workforce development during a phase of significant growth. He has also championed a people-centric approach, introduced progressive policies and ensured comprehensive support for employees and their families’ well-being.
Additionally, Anurag has led several best-in-class benefits initiatives, expanded the organisation’s focus on diversity, and strengthened employee engagement across all levels. His successor is expected to be announced soon, with both internal and external candidates under consideration.
Anurag began his journey with Nestlé in 2005 as a Management Trainee after graduating from XLRI. Over the years, he has taken on progressively senior HR roles across functions such as Recruitment, Total Rewards, and as Senior HR Business Partner for Nestlé Nutrition, Nestlé Health Science, and Finance & Control.
Joining Anurag in the transition is Chandan Mukherji, Director and Senior Vice President – Strategy, Marketing, and Communication at Nestlé India, who has also stepped down from his role. At the same time, Nestlé India is witnessing a leadership change in its legal function as well. General Counsel Venkateswaran T.S. is set to move on after a distinguished career of more than three decades, spanning corporate law, litigation strategy, regulatory affairs, and policy advocacy.
