AmbujaNeotia Group has appointed Subhashish Das as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
“I am thrilled to announce the start of my new role as Group CHRO at Ambuja Neotia Group, a prominent Indian conglomerate under the stewardship of Mr Harshavardhan Neotia, with its headquarters in Kolkata and having diverse business interests in real estate, hospitality, healthcare and education. I’m incredibly excited to dive into my passion of building purpose driven workplaces through people and contribute to the group’s growth journey of making a difference to the way people live,” Das shared on LinkedIn.
Das first joined Ambuja Cements in March 1995, when he was appointed as General Manager – HRM. He held this role for 11 years until February 2006. His latest appointment marks his return to the Ambuja brand, something he is quite excited about.
“It was with Ambuja Cement where my journey as an HR professional began some three decades back under the dynamic leadership of Mr Neotia, and it’s a kind of homecoming for me, as I take up this new role in the group, which is expanding exponentially,” Das shared.
From September 2023 to November 2025, Das worked for J M Baxi Group as President – HR & CHRO. Before that, he took up the role of President – HR & CHRO for Alok Industries in March 2020 and held it until July 2023. Das was also with Berger Paints India from March 2006 to February 2020 as Vice President – Corporate HR & Personnel.
