With the festive season right around the corner, Amazon India has opened up recruitment for over 1.5 lakh seasonal positions. The roles are spread across the company’s operations network, including fulfilment centres, sort centres, and last-mile delivery stations.
The new recruitment drive will span over 400 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Lucknow. Through the new direct and indirect positions within its operations, Amazon India hopes to meet the increased demand of the upcoming festive season.
“This festive season, we continue to be focused on providing fast and reliable deliveries to customers in every serviceable pin code across India,” said Abhinav Singh, Vice-President, Operations, India and Australia, Amazon. “Many of these people continue their journey with Amazon beyond the festive period, with a significant number returning to work with us year after year.”
As a part of the new hiring initiative, Amazon India stated that it has offered positions to thousands of women associates and over 2,000 differently-abled individuals. The company added that a large number of expected hires have already been onboarded and trained in order to handle to expected surge in the upcoming weeks.
In order to maintain the well-being of its associates, Amazon India has implemented a new range of initiatives. The increase of Ashray station to 100 in 2025 is just one of the many steps that the company has undertaken for its e-commerce associates.
Additionally, Amazon India has a health and well-being initiative that provides free health check-ups to over 80,000 delivery associates across major cities. Available directly at last-mile delivery stations, the healthcare initiative offerings include eye, dental, BMI, and physician consultations.
