Poornima Kamath has been named Head of People & Culture at Amadeus. Prior to this, she held the same role at Fi, where she was responsible for driving the company’s people strategy.

Poornima confirmed her appointment on LinkedIn:

After three unforgettable years, I’ve wrapped up my time at Fi —a place that was more than just a job. It was a whirlwind of belief, hustle, learning, and deeply human moments. Fi was the kind of ride that changes you, and it absolutely did. From building with brilliant minds to holding space for tough conversations, and from wins to meaningful lessons—I leave with immense gratitude for all of it. Thank you to every Fi’an who made it special. You know who you are, and you’re why it mattered.

Now, I’m incredibly excited to join Amadeus as Head of People & Culture, APAC. A new canvas, a broader stage, and a chance to build for scale with heart. Looking forward to collaborating with teams across regions to create meaningful, people-first experiences—ones that reflect what I’ve learned, and stretch me to learn even more.”

Poornima brings over two decades of experience, having held key HR roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages and Microsoft. She began her HR career in 2001 as an HR Executive at Mysis Healthcare. At Microsoft, she started in 2005 in global talent acquisition, covering both university and lateral hiring from Bangalore. She went on to spend more than six years managing industry hires for the Global Technical Support (GTSC) business, playing a pivotal role in successfully hiring over 400 professionals during this time.

Over the years, Poornima has built strong expertise in talent acquisition, talent management, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and cultural transformation. Her work has spanned regions such as India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, the Middle East, South Africa, and Eastern Europe, equipping her with a rich global perspective for designing and implementing people strategies. Academically, Poornima holds a commerce degree from Bangalore University and is an alumna of the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
