Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, stated during his address at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 that the Adani Group had helped generate over 7,000 jobs in Telangana over the last three years. This, as per Karan Adani, was done through investing about 10,000 crores in building state infrastructure and manufacturing facilities.
“Over the last few years, the Adani Group has forged a strong and growing relationship with the state of Telangana. In line with our earlier commitments, we have initiated investments in sectors such as Defence manufacturing, Green Data Centres, Renewable energy projects and Cement manufacturing facilities across the state,” Karan Adani said.
The MD added how Adani Group is contributing to the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative by developing a leading defence and aerospace park in Hyderabad.
“This state-of-the-art facility is the first UAV manufacturing facility in the country, where long-endurance UAVs are manufactured. The UAVs manufactured in this facility are supplied to both the Indian Armed Forces and also cater to global markets,” Karan Adani added. “Today, it provides direct employment to more than 1,500 youth of this state and supports many more livelihoods through its wider ecosystem.”
Karan Adani added that the Adani Group is establishing a 48 MW green data centre in Telangana with an investment of ₹2,500 crore. He also highlighted how the company has put in ₹4,000 crores in the state’s road infrastructure, building over 100 kilometres of highways that connect Mancherial, Suryapet, Kodad and Khammam.
“These projects not only enhance connectivity and logistics efficiency across the state but also support the livelihoods of hundreds of families across the state,” explained Karan Adani. He also shared that Adani Cement has invested over ₹2,000 crore to establish state-of-the-art cement manufacturing facilities at Ganeshpahad, Tandur and Devapur, with a combined capacity of 7 MTPA.
