Abott Healthcare has promoted Manoj Gupta to Director Human Resources (HR), India.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities to contribute, grow, and lead alongside some of the most passionate and incredible business and HR leaders,” Gupta added. “Following 16 years of glorious service with the Indian Armed Forces, my humble beginning in the corporate world in 2007 has been nothing short of fulfilling and most rewarding one.”
With more than 17 years of experience, Gupta has led HR operations in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics divisions in India. He has overseen various projects centred around talent management, succession planning, organisational effectiveness, and capability building.
Gupta has been a part of Abbott for over 17 years. He joined the company in December 2007 in the role of Manager, Talent Acquisition, Piramal Healthcare. In March 2009, Gupta was appointed as Regional HR Manager, Abbott Truecare. This was followed by his ascension to Senior Manager / Chief Manager HR, Abbott Truecare, in April 2011.
In August 2014, Gupta became Senior Manager, HR, Abbott India. He retained the role until October 2017, when he was given the position of Head Business HR, Abbott India Ltd | Women’s Health, Gastroenterology, Metabolics, Neurolife and Over-the-counter (OTC).
From June 2020 to May 2022, Gupta served as Head Business HR, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, India Region. He then became Associate Director HR, Medical Devices & Diagnostics India Region in June 2022, a position he had retained until his recent promotion.
Prior to Abbott, Gupta was a part of Jetking Infotrain as Center Manager from August 2006 to November 2007.
Before beginning his corporate journey, Gupta was an honoured part of the Indian Air Force for 16 years. He served the nation from February 1990 to April 2006, during which time he worked in areas like Bangalore, Srinagar – Kashmir, Agra, Bhuj, Pune and Shillong.
