Abhishek Kumar has stepped into a new role of Chief People Officer – RMRW (Road, Metro, Railways, and Waterways) at the Adani Group.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief People Officer at Adani RMRW (Road, Metro, Railways & Waterways) Business!” Kumar shared on LinkedIn.
Kumar has been a part of the Adani Group for over 5 years. He joined the company in December 2019 as Head HR – Lucknow Airport (LIAL). In April 2024, Kumar was promoted to Head HR – Guwahati and Lucknow Airport. This was followed by his becoming Head HR-AAHL in March 2025.
From June 2015 to December 2019, Kumar was a part of JK Paper as Deputy General Manager – HR and Industrial Relations (IR). Before that, he was affiliated with Uniparts India from June 2013 to June 2015 as Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Corporate HR and Employee Relations.
In July 2010, Kumar became associated with Amara Raja Group as Manager (Head)- Learning and Development, a position he retained until June 2013. From October 2006 to June 2010, he was a part of Mawana Sugars as Deputy Manager – Mawana Consultancy Services. Kumar was also associated with Capart from September 2003 to August 2006.
Kumar has a postgraduate diploma in personnel management and industrial relations from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi. He also obtained a postgraduate diploma in rural development with specialisation in entrepreneurship development from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi.
