The recently concluded India AI Impact Summit 2026, held in New Delhi, brought together global leaders, policymakers, startups, and technology giants to discuss how AI can reshape economies, industries, and everyday work. 

With participation from over 100 countries and billions of dollars in investment commitments announced, the summit positioned India not just as a consumer of AI but as a builder of scalable, inclusive, and human-centric AI solutions.

While much of the spotlight remained on sovereign AI models, a key sector quietly undergoing rapid transformation with AI is human resources. Across India, a new generation of HR tech platforms is embedding AI into hiring, engagement, learning, wellness, and workforce management. 

AI is redefining how organisations attract, manage, and retain talent. From conversational recognition tools to agentic AI coworkers and predictive workforce analytics, these platforms signal a shift toward intelligent, employee-centric workplaces. Considering that, TPB has enlisted the names of some of the key Indian HR Tech companies which are heavily using AI across multiple functions. 

The names of the companies are as follows:

  1. Hunar.AI 

Hunar.AI was founded in 2022 by Shantanu Bhattacharyya and Krishna Khandelwal. 

As per the open letter by CEO Krishna Khandelwal, posted on the website of Hunar.ai, the company believes that companies thrive because of the frontline workers. Yet this workforce often lacks the tools it needs to be truly enabled, productive, and successful.

Thus, Hunar.AI aims to automate and aid these employees with AI-native tools. 

“By leveraging Voice AI, we are powering conversations that bridge the gap between organizations and their workforce. These conversations unlock true potential: better hiring, faster onboarding, improved productivity, and stronger retention,” the letter reads. 

According to the letter, these lead to better hiring, faster onboarding and improved productivity. But the company is committed to building ethical AI-powered technology, which will be fair, transparent, multilingual, and inclusive, ensuring dignity and opportunity for the frontline workers. 

“We are building a purpose-driven Frontline Operating System – a system designed to help organizations manage, engage, and empower their frontline workforce like never before,” the letter concludes. 

2. Kognoz Consulting was launched in 2015 by Lokesh Nigam. 

Kognoz was launched in 2015 by Lokesh Nigam, Harpreet Kaur Kapoor, and Manish Prasad.

The company started experimenting with AI in 2018-19, and AI came into being in 2021-22. It deals in psycho-linguistics. It is an AI-first SaaS platform which helps with HR automation. It offers conversational intelligence for activities such as screening, internal talent assessment, succession planning, etc. 

The official website of the company reads, “Our transformation abilities span the public, private, and social sectors globally, and we maximize their people’s true potential through our ability to transform.”

3. Vantage Circle

Yet another employee recognition platform using AI is Vantage Circle. Founded in 2010 by Partha Neog and Anjan Pathak, the company offers an AI-powered, all-in-one employee engagement platform which aims to help organisations enhance workforce productivity, motivation, and culture. 

It offers a SaaS-based suite for rewarding, recognising, surveying, and providing wellness initiatives to employees, catering to corporate clients globally.

It offers a solution titled Vantage Fit, which is a comprehensive AI-powered employee wellness solution. It is a one-stop solution for corporates of all sizes looking to warrant employee well-being. It focuses on employee health and wellness by promoting and rewarding healthier lifestyles and habits. 

The platform has an AI backed Squat tracking feature, which sets Vantage Fit apart from other wellness solution providers. Employees can accurately monitor their squat activities, enabling them to optimise their workouts and maintain proper form.

4. LeenaAI

Leena AI is a company which offers Agentic AI-backed automation services to multiple industries, including HR. It offers voice-enabled, personified AI coworkers prebuilt for IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement. The company automates complex workflows across existing systems like Workday, ServiceNow, and SAP.

The company was founded by IIT Delhi alumni Adit Jain (CEO), Mayank Goyal (Chief Scientist), and Anand Prajapati (CTO) in 2018. 

The official website of the company states that it enables employees to update personal information, avail employee benefits, manage leaves, and access payroll-related information on their own via an AI-powered virtual assistant. It also creates customised digital workflows and makes employees more productive with faster approvals.

5. AdvantageClub.ai

The company was founded in 2016 by Sourabh Deorah (CEO) and Smiti Bhatt Deorah (COO). As per the official website, the company was formed with an aim to define employee benefits beyond just provident funds and corporate discounts beyond just dining. 

The platform offers conversational recognition tools which can be used by employees and managers to trigger recognition or nominate peers through simple chat interfaces. By eliminating lengthy forms and complex navigation, the AI lowers the barrier to entry for daily appreciation.

The AI-backed tool then analyses employee data, including roles, locations, and historical eligibility. Accordingly, it suggests the most relevant awards. This ensures that the right reward reaches the right person without manual guesswork, said AdvantageClub.ai.

Company-specific rules, such as budget caps, frequency limits, and eligibility criteria, are baked into the AI logic. The platform proactively reminds managers of significant milestones, such as birthdays, work anniversaries, or specific performance achievements, ensuring no “recognition moment” is missed.

6. uKnowva

Founded by Priyanka Jain, Vicky Jain and Abhay Talekar, uKnowva claims to have been shaped through continuous collaboration with CHROs, HR experts, and people leaders across industries. 

As per the official website of the company, uKnowva stands as an AI-driven, future-ready, and deeply human HRMS platform. It offers an AI-powered chatbot, often referred to as “AI Genie,” embedded in the system to answer employee queries regarding policies, leave, and payroll in real-time.

It also helps the recruiters generate job descriptions, interview questions, offer letters, and policy documents tailored to specific roles.

7. Peoplestrong

Pankaj Bansal founded PeopleStrong in 2005 with Shelly Singh. The company is an all-in-one HR tech platform which offers services from recruitment to talent management. For the initial screening, it offers AI-driven interviews and behavioural assessments to evaluate candidates, reducing hiring time by 45%.

Further, it also deploys AI for learning and development. The tool is called Hiperlearn, which is an adaptive, personalised, and immersive learning experiences that track employee behaviour.

In addition, PeopleStrong also provides an AI-driven behavioural assessment to measure and develop emotional intelligence, decision-making, and cognitive agility. It also implements AI-driven, real-time feedback and behavioural insights to improve engagement.

8. Zoho

Originally founded as AdventNet, Zoho was focused on network management software before pivoting to cloud-based business applications. It was launched in the year 1996 by Sridhar Vembu and Tony Thomas.

Zoho is an all-rounder HR tech platform offering a wide range of services such as payroll management, employee experience, talent management suite, etc. Overall, it offers more than 50 products to manage the workforce. It also offers an AI-powered assistant called Zia. 

With this, the company aims to help its clients realise and maximise the value of contextual, assistive and agentic AI technology. From content generation to data analysis, Zia allows users to automate tasks. It is integrated with all its services. 

9. Keka

Having been launched in 2016 by Vijay Yalamanchili, Keka claims to be an all-in-one HRMS system which offers services such as candidate screening, performance management, meeting assistance, attendance management, etc. 

With almost all of its services, AI is integrated. The platform uses AI to generate role-based and department-specific goals, allowing managers to define objectives quickly and align them with company goals. AI also backs Keka’s data analysis to identify trends, such as turnover risks, and offers prescriptive analytics for capacity planning and workforce management.

In addition, it also offers an AI-powered learning management system that creates personalised learning programs, builds skill matrices, and generates quizzes based on uploaded training materials.

10. GreytHR

Headquartered in Bengaluru, the company serves over 30,000 companies across 25+ countries. It was founded in 1994 by Girish Rowjee and Sayeed Anjum.

As per multiple sources, including the company’s website, it leverages AI to automate and streamline HR, payroll, and recruitment processes, reducing manual tasks. Key applications include AI-driven resume screening and candidate matching, intelligent chatbots for employee queries, automated expense management via receipt scanning, and predictive analytics for attrition and workforce planning.

Future of HR Tech

As India accelerates its AI ambitions, the transformation of HR may prove to be one of the most immediate and visible outcomes of this technological shift. The platforms emerging today are no longer limited to digitising payroll or automating administrative tasks; they are reshaping how organisations recognise effort, support employee wellbeing, develop skills, and make talent decisions in real time.

As highlighted during India’s recent AI conversations at the national level, the future of AI will ultimately be measured not just by efficiency gains but by its impact on human potential.
