Juniper Green Energy has appointed Varinder Singh as Assistant Vice President and Head – Human Resources.
With over 14 years of experience, Singh is well-versed in different facets of HR operations. Over the years, he has worked in a variety of industries, including clean energy, education, and infrastructure. Singh’s appointment highlights Juniper Green Energy’s commitment to developing people-centric initiatives and cultivating agile HR capabilities.
Singh’s areas os expertise include employee engagement, HR digitalisation, and strategic hiring. He is also experienced in workforce planning, policy development, and leadership enablement. In his new position, he will play a crucial role in helping Juniper Green Energy with its expanding sustainability mission and long-term growth objectives within the renewable energy sector.
Prior to joining Juniper Green Energy, Singh was a part of Fortum India for over six years. He started at the company in September 2018 as Principal Manager – HR. In February 2020, Singh was appointed as Chief Manager – HR, followed by his ascension to General Manager – HR in April 2023.
From August 2016 to August 2018, Singh was part of Lovely Professional University as Deputy Director of the School of Professional Enhancement. Before that, he was associated with Tata Power for more than five years. Singh started at Tata Power as an Executive in HR in June 2011. He was first promoted to Assistant Manager in HR in April 2014 and to Manager in HR in August 2014.
