Wipro’s attrition rate has increased to 15% over the last three-four quarters, stated Saurabh Govil, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Wipro.
“In the last three-four quarters, we have been around 15% attrition, plus-minus 0.1-0.2% and fairly comfortable with this from a supply side and demand. There are seeing spikes in some pockets like GCCs or in some skills, but overall, I think we will be in this range of attrition going forward, which we are very comfortable with,” Govil said in an interview with ET Now.
As per the April-June quarter (Q1FY26) results shared by Wipro, the company’s attrition was at 15.1% for the quarter. This was an increase of 0.1% compared to Q4FY24, when Wipro’s attrition came out at an even 15%. According to Wipro’s regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the total employee headcount dropped by 114 to 2,33,232 employees in Q1FY26.
The attrition of 15.1% in Q1FY26 was significantly higher than the one calculated a year prior. In Q1FY25, Wipro’s attrition was at 14.1%.
