Walmart Sourcing has appointed Atreyee Chowdhury as Head of Human Resources (HR), People Partner.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of HR, People Partner at Walmart Sourcing! I’m humbled and thrilled to be stepping into the role of Head of HR, People Partner – India Hub with Walmart Sourcing (International),” Chowdhury shared on LinkedIn.
Though Chowdhury has just joined Walmart Sourcing, she has been a part of the overall Walmart group for around six years. She joined Walmart Global Tech India in September 2019 as Manager II — Learning Content Design & Development (LCDD). In October 2022, Chowdhury became Senior Manager I — Design Services, Walmart Academy, ALL, followed by her appointment as Senior Manager — Associate Experience, GTL in April 2024.
“This move marks a significant milestone in my career and is a true reflection of something I deeply believe – there is a path for everyone at Walmart. After spending close to 6 incredible years with Global Talent & Learning, this opportunity has been both energizing and inspiring,” Chowdhury remarked about her switch.
Before Walmart, Chowdhury was a part of ICF as a Learning Solutions Specialist from May 2018 to September 2019. She was also associated with Tech Mahindra from April 2014 to May 2018 as a Learning Consultant. From October 2013 to April 2014, Chowdhury worked as Senior Instructional Designer for Simplilearn.
In January 2011, Chowdhury joined Accenture in India as an Instructional Design Senior Analyst — Content Development Centre (CDC), retaining the position until June 2013. Prior to that, she was working with IBM Global Business Services as an Instructional Designer from November 2009 to January 2011. She also worked for Cybage Software from May 2008 to August 2009 as Technical Writer — Documentation.
