Laresen and Toubro (L&T) Chairman SN Subrahmanyan received a remuneration of ₹76.25 crores in FY25. This marked a 50% increase in his compensation compared to his earnings from FY24, which were reported to be ₹51.05 crores.
A significant portion of Subrahmanyan’s increase in earnings can be credited to employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). The chairman earned ₹15.88 crores in FY25 from ESOPs alone. In FY24, Subrahmanyan did not receive any earnings from ESOPs.
In its report, L&T shared the annual earnings for many more crucial figures in the company. Whole-time Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) R Shankar Raman earned ₹37.33 crores in FY25. Similarly, Deputy Managing Director and President of the infrastructure major, Subramanian Sarma, made ₹44.55 crores.
With 58,244 permanent employees as of March 2025, L&T reported a 14% rise in total employee cost to ₹46,769 crore. The median employee compensation for FY25 can be calculated to ₹10.68 lakhs, showcasing a year-on-year (YoY) increase by 11.7%. The increase in the pay of broader employees was reported at around 8.2%, while those in managerial position saw an increase of ₹21.8%.
