Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has elevated Swarna Sudha Selvaraj to Head – HR, AI & Data, marking a key milestone in her 18-year journey with the company. During her time at TCS, she has led Learning & Development for the company’s largest Business Unit—Banking & Financial Services—as well as for the Chennai region, TCS’s largest regional hub. She has also managed the TCS Learning Platform and Learning Content functions.
In her new role, she will collaborate closely with Siva Ganesan, Head of AI and Data at Tata Consultancy Services, and his leadership team across Business Groups, Geographies, and Enablement Functions, as they embark on the next phase of AI transformation with “excAItement.”
With over 20 years of rich experience across the Murugappa Group and Tata Group, Swarna firmly believes in the mantra, “Choose a job you like, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” Throughout her career, she has successfully led initiatives that turned complex challenges into impactful, results-driven opportunities for all stakeholders.
Academically, Swarna holds a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the Madras School of Social Work, completed in 2001, and a Diploma in Training and Development from the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), earned in 2005.
