Mumbai-headquartered conglomerate RPG Group has named Udayan Dutt as its new President–Group HR, with his appointment taking effect from June 2, 2025. He steps into the role following the departure of S Venkatesh, who served the company for over 11 years.
Dutt brings with him more than 25 years of HR leadership experience, including a significant tenure at Unilever. Most recently, he was Vice President of Human Resources overseeing global functions such as finance, IT & digitization, legal, and transformation at Reckitt Benckiser, a British multinational consumer goods firm. He left Reckitt in March 2025.
He shared on LinkedIn: “I feel honoured to share that I will join RPG Enterprises as President, Group HR on June 2, 2025, building upon its rich legacy of innovation, care, inclusion, and high-performance culture. I look forward to championing the Group’s people-first culture, where Happiness stands as a core value alongside Unleash Talent, Touch Lives, and Outperform—creating a truly unique and empowering environment.”
As President-Group HR, Dutt will focus on shaping a people’s agenda that drives business success while prioritising employee well-being. He will also lead and collaborate with RPG’s talented and dedicated HR team to drive meaningful impact, empower people to excel, and help build a future-ready organization.
Dutt has previously held leadership roles at Unilever, where he spent a decade from 2006 to 2016, and at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), gaining diverse experience across industries and geographies.
