Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts appoints Bakul Pednekar as Director of People and Culture

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has appointed Bakul Pednekar as the Director of People and Culture.

Pednekar has been a part of Four Seasons for over seventeen years, having contributed significantly to the company’s operations across the globe. In the past, he has worked in countries like Tanzania, the Maldives, and Seychelles. With his new role, Pednekar will be returning to India, a change many within the company are looking forward to.

Through his work, Pednekar has become known for his inclusive and purpose-driven workplace initiatives. He has led diverse teams, spearheaded impactful learning programs, and championed employee well-being, allowing him to create a unique space for himself in the industry.

Pednekar joined Four Seasons in December 2007 as a Steward and then became a Senior Steward in June 2008. Maintaining a fast pace, he was appointed as a Stewarding Supervisor in Seychelles in November 2008 and then as a Recreation Supervisor in October 2010. In January 2011, Pednekar was given the role of Pool and Beach Assistant Manager. He shifted to the Maldives in August 2012 and took up the role of Human Resources Supervisor.

In October 2013, Pednekar was appointed as the Assistant Manager – Human Resources and then as the Manager of Human Resources in July 2015. He became the Assistant Director of Human Resources in October 2017, a role he retained until January 2022. Pednekar moved to Tanzania in February 2022 when he was appointed as the Human Resources Director, a designation he held just before his latest appointment.
