Hindustan Petroleum has appointed Dhiraj Sorte as the Head of Human Resources (HR) for the East Zone.
Part of Hindustan Petroleum for over 12 years, Sorte has contributed significantly to the company’s HR operations. He joined Hindustan Petroleum in October 2012 as the Officer HR- Talent Acquisition, a position he retained until June 2016. Sorte was then promoted to the role of Assistant Manager of Human Resources and worked in the position until April 2019. In May 2019, he was given the rank of Manager of Performance Management, a role he held until March 2022.
Sorte was made the Senior Manager of Performance Management in April 2022, and he seems to have retained the role even after his latest appointment. In his new role as the Head of HR for the East Zone, Sorte will put his skills in performance management, talent management, and HR strategy to good use.

In the past, Sorte has also worked for Colgate-Palmolive and Horwath HTL India. He has a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations. The longtime Hindustan Petroleum employee also holds the SHRM – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.
