Vikas Sharma takes charge as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Veeline Industries, with a brief to strengthen the HR function, nurture talent and align people strategies with the company’s business objectives.
His mandate spans organisational development, talent management, employee relations, workforce strategy and HR transformation across Veeline’s manufacturing and distribution footprint.
Sharma brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across the media, fashion retail, automobile, writing instruments, cement, steel and eyewear retail sectors.
Prior to joining Veeline Industries, Sharma served as Vice President, Corporate Human Resources at Ambica Steels in New Delhi from 2025, a role he took up after an earlier announcement by the company. Before Ambica Steels, he was Vice President, Human Resources at Lenskart.com from 2022 to 2025. At Lenskart, Sharma had earlier led HR for its Supply Chain and Manufacturing (SCM) division.
Between 2020 and 2022, Sharma worked with HeidelbergCement India as Head of HR. From 2017 to 2020, he was Group HR Head at Luxor Writing Instruments. Before that, he spent four years with Ashok Leyland from 2013 to 2017 as Head of Human Resources for the Pantnagar and Alwar plants, handling industrial relations and plant HR.
Sharma’s early-career leadership included over five years with the Aditya Birla Group, where he served as Head of Human Resources and General Manager HR between 2008 and 2013, following an assignment as Manager, Human Resources at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. He began his HR career at India Today Group Digital as Assistant Manager, HR.
He has been recognised among the “Global 200 Power Leaders in HR 2023” in the Rising Leader category and is a certified practitioner of the Deming methodology in HR.
