Infosys on Friday inaugurated a new 1.1 million sq ft Software Development Block at its Pocharam Development Centre in Hyderabad, adding 10,000 workstations and strengthening its operational capacity in Telangana.
The new facility was opened on October 30, 2026, by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister for IT, Industries and Legislative Affairs Duddilla Sridhar Babu, in the presence of Infosys Chief Financial Officer Jayesh Sanghrajka.
The Pocharam campus spans 450 acres and currently houses seven software development blocks with a built-up area of about 4.58 million sq ft. The new block will enable Infosys to support an additional workforce of over 13,000 employees under a hybrid working model, the company said in a press release.
Sanghrajka said, “Hyderabad has played a pivotal role in our growth journey, and the expansion of our Pocharam campus reflects our continued commitment to the region.” He added that the facility will help Infosys “scale operations, build specialised talent, and deliver complex transformation programs for global clients.”
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated, “Telangana has established itself as a global technology destination, supported by world-class infrastructure, skilled talent and a thriving innovation ecosystem.” He noted that the expansion marks “another important milestone, creating opportunities for our youth to participate in the next wave of technology-led growth.”
The Pocharam Development Centre serves global clients across Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Retail, Life Sciences, and Manufacturing. The new block strengthens Infosys’ capabilities in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, engineering, and next-generation digital services.
The facility incorporates energy-efficient radiant cooling, smart lighting, rainwater harvesting, wastewater reuse, and natural daylight-filled spaces. It also features flexible workspaces, collaborative areas, and employee wellness facilities designed for a hybrid work environment.
Infosys currently has over 325,000 employees globally. The expansion aligns with the company’s commitments announced at the World Economic Forum in January 2025, where Infosys said it would expand its Hyderabad presence to create 17,000 jobs.
