Rahuraman Venkatachalam has taken on a new HR leadership role at HCLTech, announcing on LinkedIn: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President, HR – Enterprise Learning and Development at HCLTech.” The elevation has also been noted in HR industry coverage.
In the new role, Venkatachalam will lead HR for HCLTech’s Enterprise Learning and Development function, extending his leadership across the company’s workforce development and capability-building agenda. The function sits within HCLTech’s broader people organisation, which operates across more than 54 countries and over 220,000 employees globally.
Prior to this elevation, Venkatachalam was Associate Vice President, Human Resources for the Engineering Research and Development Services (ERS) business at HCL Technologies, per his professional record. His career at HCL has spanned HR roles across technology, information services, and banking segments, with his LinkedIn profile describing his experience as covering “Information technology, Banking and” allied sectors.
Alongside his HR mandate, Venkatachalam is an active executive coach. He completed his Executive Coaching certification from CFI in April 2020 and his EQi 2.0 and EQ 360 certification from Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS) in August 2021. He describes himself as an HR Leader and Executive Coach, with a focus on emotional intelligence as a leadership capability.
Venkatachalam is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, batch of 1999, and is based in Chennai.
