Anoop Hiwalay has been elevated to Director, Human Resources at Schneider Electric.
In his expanded role, Hiwalay will continue to lead talent acquisition across Greater India, where the Schneider Electric India TA team hires close to 4,500 people annually. He will serve as HR leader for the company’s commercial business in India (sales, One Automation, home solution, digital energy, power products, execution centres, strategy team) and will oversee operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
His remit sits within the broader HR structure led by Niharika Mohan, who was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer for the Greater India Zone effective January 1, 2026.
Hiwalay has been with Schneider Electric since 2022, originally joining as Director, Talent Acquisition, India, and HR Leader for India One Solution. Before Schneider Electric, he served as Head of Talent Acquisition at Jio from 2021 to 2022, where he led hiring across the group’s product engineering businesses spanning AI, Cloud, Fashion & Lifestyle, Grocery, Media, and HealthTech.
From November 2019 to 2020, he was Senior Director, Human Resources at Ola, based out of Bengaluru. His earlier banking experience includes HSBC, where he served as Vice President, Human Resources from 2015 to 2017, and then as Head of Talent Acquisition for the bank’s Global Service Centres covering India, Sri Lanka, Poland, Malaysia, and Egypt from 2017 to 2019.
Alongside his corporate role, Hiwalay has been an Advisor and Investor at Manah Wellness since 2021 and is active in the Indian HR tech ecosystem as a mentor. He completed his MBA in Human Resources from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 2004 and is based in Bengaluru.
