Vivek Sapre has taken charge as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Fibe, leading the digital lending platform’s people function and shaping its talent, culture and organisational development agenda.

The appointment comes as Fibe continues to expand its digital financial services ecosystem across lending, payments and allied categories. In the role, Vivek is expected to further develop the firm’s HR practices across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management and employee engagement, drawing on experience across financial services, fintech, education and professional services.

“Pleased to share the exciting career update of joining Fibe.India (Formerly EarlySalary) as CHRO to further shape and enhance the People Practice under the able leadership of Akshay Mehrotra and Ashish Goyal,” Vivek shared on LinkedIn. “Over the last 3 days, I have already seen the positive energy and vibe of the ‘Fibe Tribe’ and the collaborative spirit of the colleagues. Already loving being part of this happening story and looking forward to a fascinating journey ahead.”

Immediately before Fibe, Vivek served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Veranda Learning Solutions from November 2023 to September 2026, where he worked with the listed holding company and its portfolio of subsidiaries. He partnered with CEOs and subsidiary leaders while overseeing group-level HR priorities and guiding the HR organisation supporting a workforce spread across more than 200 centres in India. In a conversation with Tripti Diundi, Vivek talked about building future-ready talent, shaping people strategy, leveraging HR technology, and driving engagement in evolving workplaces.

His resignation became effective at the close of business on 28 September 2026 and was formally disclosed by Veranda Learning to the stock exchanges under SEBI’s disclosure rules. In his letter to Chairman and Executive Director Kalpathi S Suresh, Vivek said the decision followed careful thought and stemmed from a desire to pursue an external opportunity aligned with his long-term career goals.

Vivek’s HR leadership journey began in 2017 when he joined NeoGrowth Credit as Head of HR and Corporate Affairs. In the role, he was responsible for human resources, learning and development, administration and corporate affairs across the non-banking finance company.

Earlier in his career, Vivek held senior roles at L&T Finance, where he gained exposure to HR operations within a large diversified financial-services organisation.

Before moving into HR leadership, Sapre spent close to three years at EY, where he worked on financial services and business-advisory projects. His earlier career also included exposure to technology, business strategy and analytics, which he has carried into his HR leadership roles.
