BDR Pharmaceuticals has appointed Niral Bhatt as chief human resources officer (CHRO). The Mumbai-headquartered drugmaker confirmed the appointment through a LinkedIn post welcoming Bhatt to its leadership team.
The new CHRO brings more than 20 years of experience across HR, talent management, leadership development and business partnering. His career spans Future Group, Café Coffee Day, Larsen & Toubro, the Aditya Birla Group and the Zydus Group.
Bhatt spent over 13 years at Zydus Group, joining as HR manager in July 2013 and moving up to senior manager in April 2015, deputy general manager-HR in April 2019, and general manager-HR from November 2022 until his exit. His mandate at the group covered capability building, compensation benchmarking, talent management, performance management, employee engagement and succession planning. In the earlier part of that tenure, he handled employee lifecycle work, talent deployment and disciplinary matters.
Before Zydus, he was assistant manager-HR at the Aditya Birla Group from April 2011 to July 2013 and senior human resources officer at Larsen & Toubro from April 2010 to April 2011. He was assistant manager-HR at Café Coffee Day from June 2008 to April 2010, and a human resources executive at Future Group India from February 2006 to June 2008. He began his career as an associate consultant at the Academy of Human Excellence in February 2004, followed by a year at C. Mahendra Exports.
