Ratul Ghosh will lead People and Organisation strategy across Asia-Pacific for Procter & Gamble after being elevated to vice-president, human resources (CHRO), APAC, a mandate spanning 10 markets across ASEAN, Japan, Korea and Australia.
In the expanded role, reported on 17 September 2026, he will partner with P&G’s APAC Executive Board on regional people strategy and oversee the HR leadership pipeline across the region. The step widens a remit that, until now, had been anchored to a single country.
Ghosh has spent more than 21 years at P&G in HR roles across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the United States. He most recently served as vice-president, human resources (CHRO), Japan, from June 2024 to June 2026, where he ran the HR function for the company’s Japanese operations and sat on the country’s executive board.
Earlier assignments included regional HR leadership for the Pampers and Marketing function across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the CHRO role for P&G’s Korea business alongside regional employee-relations responsibility, and an HR leadership role for the SK-II beauty-care brand based in Japan, per his professional profile.
He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Delhi University.
The appointment keeps a senior regional HR seat at one of the world’s largest consumer-goods firms with an India-educated leader, at a company now led globally by chief executive Shailesh Jejurikar, P&G’s first Asian CEO. P&G operates across beauty, grooming, health care, fabric and home care, and baby and family care, with brands including Tide, Pampers, Gillette, Ariel and Vicks sold in about 180 countries.
